Technology Skills for Librarians

Jenny lists technology skills librarians should have. I just answered a survey from a library and information science student with a question about tech skills esssential for news librarians. Had I seen this list earlier, I would have just pointed her here.

I would add IRC (Internet Relay Chat), audiocasting (webcasting, podcasting, etc.), virus/computer repair software, basic trouble shooting (including minor hardware issues), and online catalogs to the list, some of which could conceivably be part of other categories already present.

Addendum 8/30: Blake of LISNews claims library geeks only need to know 5 things.
