Walt Crawford’s Investigating the Biblioblogosphere

"[T]his is an informal study of a ‘top 50′ library-people blogs, including some metrics."

Lots of nifty libraryesque blogs are mentioned in this article. Check it out!

Noticed on the eclectic librarian.

Maybe I’ll read more later.

(Wow. I didn’t even make the top 50 library blogs. Go me!)

Addendum 8/24: Steven makes some points about statistics in light of Michael Lorenzo’s analysis of the 50 blogs’ Google page ranks. (Michael gives a great explanation of Google page rank.)

I felt like I needed to do my duty to create buzz about these posts per Steven’s comment.

I don’t remember the reason right now, but yours was one of the blogs that fell out during the metrics exercise because I couldn’t carry out the base metrics.

Oh, wait, I do remember the reason: I couldn’t find any way to pick up the April-June archives except one day at a time: There are no monthly archive links that I could find.

Otherwise, you’d definitely be in the group. Whether that’s good or bad…well, today I’m seeing the “What a terrible thing to do!” responses to the article. So I can’t say.
