Fictional Characters in Wikipedia
LISNews has a bit about fictional characters in Wikipedia. I haven’t looked at all of the materials, so I haven’t really figured out what’s happening in this particular case. I just wanted to point out that Wikipedia includes entries on other fictional characters, like Bilbo Baggins. Why shouldn’t it, especially for major figures that are part of our culture?

I think that the fictional characters in question were part of a BBC viral marketing ploy.
