Google’s New Blog Search
The blogosphere is humming with news of Google’s new search service. After a lecture tonight, a few of us bloggers in the audience who drifted together to chat ended up talking about the service. I have not yet looked at it or played with it.
I like what Feedster had to say about it, including the link to a test of different search engines:
"Having a player like Google in the mix can only help advertisers understand the viability of blogs and RSS feeds as a marketing platform."
Scott emphasizes that Google won’t take out other blog search engines.
Technorati extends a welcome, too. Back in July, BusinessWeek ran an interview with David Sifry where he talked about what might happen if Google and other search engines creep into the world of blog searching.
All the more reason for us to be playing with feeds …
