Librarians Pose for Calendar

Some Wisconsin librarians had the idea of posing for a calendar as a farewell present to a retiring colleague. The cost of the project made them rethink their plan. They decided to sell calendars to the public as a way to raise funds for their libraries.
Some British librarians undertook a similar project in December 2003.

Rare Book School Founder and Book Preservationist Garners MacArthur “Genius” Grant

Among the twenty-five MacArthur Fellows the MacArthur Foundation named on Tuesday (Sept. 20) is Terry Belanger, University Professor and Honorary Curator of Special Collections at the University of Virginia and founder of the Rare Book School, which I learned about through the playful antiquarian.
