Lucid Dreaming of Blogging
While I was out sick Monday, I listened to some of the podcasts that have been piling up. The July 23 Weekend America has some segments about dreaminig, including a mention of lucid dreaming. While napping later, I suddenly became aware of the dream I was having. I was blogging–I think it was part of an interesting discussion I had with a friend. I was aware of all of the aspects of it. My dream was just the posting screen of this blog with a title and text in the text box. I watched words and HTML code appear in the box as I typed. I was even conscious of typos and editing changes I wanted to make. I remember rewriting the first line. It was something in reality I wanted to put on the blog. I tried hard to remember the post, but I forgot it soon after waking up.
I was planning to do some blogging today, but I couldn’t decide if blogging while out sick was appropriate. If I’m healthy enough to blog, am I healthy enough to work? Have there been cases where employers have been upset at employees for blogging while they’re supposedly out sick? Well, I didn’t have to worry about that after all because I got busy getting well and doing some minor things on my task list, like starting to write my presentation for Wisconsin.
I thought some of you would get a kick out of me dreaming about blogging.
