Blogging Presents a Different Communication Model
Ok, well, that’s a very unfunny title to use to point to something on gapingvoid. I’m going to mull what Hugh writes. It stikes me as being very important and something those interested in blogging should ponder, but I can’t figure out what I want to say about it to relate it to librarians and information professionals. Hugh’s right: the model of blogging is a very different way of communication that uses a very different style. But for those of you worried about ‘getting blogging’ before starting, I would suggest not worrying it to the point that you don’t start blogging. I just jumped in and started swimming (which, oddly enough, is something anyone could tell you I don’t actually do when presented with a body of water, especially a cold one).
