Registration Deadlines Reminder: Wisconsin Feed Program Today (10/17), Rhode Island Blog Talk

Monday, October 17, is the deadline to register for the Wednesday, October 19, talk about XML feeds I’m giving at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The Feeding Frenzy, as the program is so cleverly titled, includes dinner and dessert. When I last checked, only about twenty people had signed up. There’s still plenty of room. Don’t forget about the drop-in lunch on the Union Terrace or in the Rathskeller Wednesday from 11 am to 1 pm. Some of us will head over from the SLIS Commons on the fourth floor of Helen C. White Hall. I brought my lobster hat.

I don’t recall seeing a registration deadline for the talk about weblogs I’m giving in Rhode Island on Tuesday, October 25, but since it’s also a dinner, I’m sure Tony Stankus would appreciate registrations arriving no later than the end of this week to ease his preparations. This fun evening will include the opportunity to network with students.

And there’s also N-Ten in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on Friday, October 21, where I’ll present a very brief case study involving RSS feeds in a session from 3:30 to 5 pm.

I’m sure some of y’all are getting tired of reading about me promoting my various speaking engagements. I kinda feel like if I don’t do it, it’s almost the same as me not voting for myself if I ever run for some kind of elected office. Don’t worry: so far the confirmed presentations are booked through early December. Perhaps come January, I’ll be able to blog about something useful besides where I’m speaking next.
