According to sj’s Wiki Hut of Horror or Longest Now, Wikimania 2006 will be in Boston. Details about the location are on the wiki for the bid. sj sent an e-mail to the blog group list with information about how people can help Boston host the conference. (Access to the e-mail might be restricted to Yahoo! Group members, but I think the list is public.)

I haven’t seen official confirmation from the Wikimedia folks yet.

I know some of you are horribly disappointed because of issues related to visiting the United States.

The Berkman Center for Internet & Society is taking on a major sponsorship role with the conference.

This Thursday’s blog group meeting focuses on plans for Wikimania.
