The Magic and Power of Feeds
I think I talked for about an hour and fifteen minutes including time for some really great questions at today’s program at NELINET. The outline of my talk is linked above.
Every time I give a talk, I find myself thinking, especially based on questions in the audience, “Is this the best order of my slides? Would they work better with this here and that further down in the presentation?” The problem, of course, is that I just can’t say everything first. Maybe starting off with some basic definitions would help alleviate some confusion. I have a difficult time talking about feeds without talking about aggregators. Showing is better than just telling … I think it really helped to be able to use my laptop today because there were several times when someone asked a question that I could show the answer to instead of just explaining.

Your presentation was excellent and I learned a lot. Don’t worry about the order of the slides – this stuff is all very intertwined and no matter how you might switch things around, it was going to get confusing. Having your laptop there to show examples helped.
