Newspaper Business Models These Days

This Wall Street Journal editorial looks at what newspaper companies are doing with acquisitions in the Electronic Age. In some cases, it’s partnerships with other companies for certain kinds of Web sites. In other situations, it’s just using technology to try to reach audiences.

The editorial might be a companion piece to the report that print newspaper circulation continues to decline. (I find myself struggling with the decision to renew my own newspaper subscriptions.)

The Wall Street Journal is doing a special promotion with free access this week. It’s possible these pieces might still be restricted to subscribers.
