Concerns about Students who Blog; Chinese Blogger Conference
Here are two articles about blogging.
The Chicago Tribune explores concerns colleges and universities have about their students blogging.
The South China Morning Post covered one of the first blog conferences in China. Blogging in China is particularly problematic because of how the country blocks access to certain Internet sites, including certain hosted blog platforms (or at least they used to), and people don’t have the same freedoms of speech that we have in America. Many of my blogging colleagues keep up with Internet issues in China, so I’ve learned a lot about them in the past few years. That there could even be a blogger conference in China is relatively significant. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the article online in an area that isn’t restricted to South China Morning Post subscribers.
