"Radio what’s new? Radio, someone still loves you!"
It’s been quite a while since I’ve written anything about broadcast media. Tuesday morning, I caught a National Public Radio news story about the media giant Clear Channel, radio stations, and the future of radio. Years* ago, I wrote about what could happen when the same companies start to take over the airwaves. NPR touches on some of those issues because Clear Channel owns numerous radio stations across the country.
(*It’s weird to think, "Oh, I wrote about that not too long ago,” then realize it’s from May 2003. I didn’t think I’d be able to say "Years ago" and still refer to what I’ve written in this space. Granted it’s only two years, but still.)
