Merriam-Webster Launches a Wiktionary Clone

LISNews observes that …

Kim: … people should match their (double-)quote symbols at all times. :-)

It’s not just a good idea!

j: right right

Addendum 8/26/06: This post was b0rked, er broken for a long time due to a silly code problem. Kim fixed it, so I can finally make it go live.

LISNews observes that Merriam-Webster’s now has an Open Dictionary anyone can edit. Perhaps Wikimedia Foundation projects are making more sources nervous than just the Encyclopedia Britannica.

Uh, I don’t see any apostrophes OR quotation marks in this post - or is that the point?

    Dowbrigade - clueless as usual

  2. James Day Says:

Kim should explain that “There’s some interesting entires already” expands to “There is some interesting entries already” and that is not quite correct English either. This is not J’s fault.

  3. Kim Bruning Says:

someone added a window=’_this” to their a tag.

    - Note the mismatched single and double quotes.
    - Note how I’m Studiously avoiding actual HTML here. :-P

  4. James Day Says:

Someone was naughty in their HTML. :)
