9:0!!! Or, Thanks to the Brave People who Ventured into the Storm
to hear me ramble about blogs.
Garrett Eastman and Susan Herzog did not make it. I took notes during the part of Megan Fox’ presentation I heard and will post those and my talk later.
Addenda 12/10: The weather and traveling was so awful today, I feel like I need to confirm that I did indeed make it home safely. I would have blogged earlier, but I had to call my Mom to let her know the same first. After driving for three hours and only making it about halfway in a trip that should have taken not much more than an hour, I decided to run an errand. I left lunch between 2:30 and 3. I got home around 9 pm after running two errands that took about ninety minutes. After digging my car in and out and putting it away, I walked in the door for good at 10 pm. I love road trips, but I have something different in mind when I think about them.
It was a good thing I was able to take those donut holes. All I could think about was the headline: “Motorist runs off road in storm, survives on donut holes.” ha ha ha
Here are some thoughts Bill Ives of Portals and KM mentions about Tom Davenport of Babson Knowledge. I mentioned Bill’s and Tom’s weblogs during my talk.
12/11: My notes of Megan Fox’ presentation and the the outline of my talk are now available. For those attendees hoping to learn the basics of blogs and feeds, perhaps the outline of the introductory blogs and feeds talk I gave in Rhode Island in October (another very stormy day) might prove useful.
1/7/06: Some of Susan Herzog’s presentation is online.
