Marines Hire Blogger for Front Line Coverage

While I was digging around The Washington Post’s Web site looking for information about their archives now offering 60-day access for free like beSpacific reported, I found this article about why the Marines hired blogger Bill Roggio of The Fourth Rail to report from the front lines. The Marines think of it as a way to spread word of what they’re doing without going through a media filter or waiting for the media to report something they’ve done.

By the way, the Blawg Review Awards honored beSpacific as the Best Legal Support Blawg. Congratulations, Sabrina!
