NARA Struggles with Electronic Records

The Wall Street Journal takes a look at the National Archives and Records Administration’s efforts to preserve digital records. Because more documents have electronic origins and because of the growth of the use of Internet technologies, like e-mail, NARA is handling more electronic records today than it ever has. Dealing with it all poses challenges for technology, the staff, and preservation practices.
