Gender and Internet Use
The Pew Internet & American Life Project’s new report How Women and Men Use the Internet shows that women are closing the Internet use gender gap. Men still generally use the Internet more than women, but women 18-29 years old, married women, and African-American women use the Internet more than men. Women also use the Internet for social activities, like corresponding with friends, more than men.
On Tech for Democracy, Nathan has a summary and some thoughts on the research.
