What is Scott Johnson up to?

There’s this site called Ookles that says it’s Scott Johnson’s next project, along with some other folks. We know he’s a serial entrepreneur. What’s he going to do post-Feedster?

They’re collecting e-mail addresses of people who’d like to know. On February 28, select users in a few geographic areas will get a sneak peek. Then, after some tweaks, they’ll release Ookles to more and more people.

I’ve been reading their blog, hoping to learn more about Ookles. Their descriptions are rather vague. What I’m learning instead is start-up wisdom, talking on a phone in the bathroom can be very beneficial, working at Ookles can bring luck, they’re looking for contractors, and things like having a photo of me on my blog might make me seem more human and less drone-like. And here I thought I was doing you a favor by not showing you my face. I figured my sarcastic, dry, wit was enough for you to know I’m not a bot. Well, perhaps I’ll keep considering the photo thingie.

Confirmation: J is not a bot, and if you hang out in Boston’s webby circles you’ve almost surely had the pleasure of meeting her! Here’s hoping the great borg of Ookles soon sweeps you into its net!

    Hi Jessica,

This is the ScottBot. An automated program which trolls the net and responds to blog posts.
