Hello Calvin!

Thanks for the offer. I've already received two invitations to join that I won't be able to accept until I get a computer.

J, the fact that you wish to follow a narrow field of news is exactly the reason you should give Newsvine a try. This is one of the reasons why the traditional news media companies cannot compete with an army of empowered citizen contributors. I imagine that there are other people around the web who would like to know about librarianship-related news. You can start a column, pointing to articles that cover this topic, so that you and others around the world can help each other find the news that is important to you. You can also subscribe to this specific topic by adding newsvine.com/libraries (or library) to your watchlist, on which there are already a number of posts and seeds. You'd be notified any time there is new content regarding that topic.

Let me know if you'd like an invitation to give it a try.

best regards,

Calvin
