Andy Carvin on the Digital Divide
School Library Journal published a piece by Andy Carvin on the Digital Divide and why it’s dangerous that it’s no longer in the forefront of people’s minds.
Andy does a lot of cool stuff with the Digital Divide around the world, so he’s definitely someone who knows something about it.

Addendum 4/6: Listening to Andy Carvin talk about the role of telecenters (community access points, public computer centers, etc.) in the world and how important they are in bridging the digital divide reminds me of the important role libraries play in providing access to computers, the Internet, and other information technology tools.
