Another List of Top Librarian Blogs

For Top 10 Sources, Kevin O’Kelly wrote a list of top librarian weblogs.

I like the words he uses:

"It’s true. Librarians are up to a lot more than you might think. Keeping up with the ever-changing world of information technology, fighting the PATRIOT Act, or aiding political protestors, librarians do a lot more than check out books. Copyright, intellectual freedom, public health, historic preservation—name any issue, librarians are involved, somehow, some way."

He should know: Kevin is a librarian.

His list includes some blogs I hadn’t heard of before. He wrote to me about the site to let me know he linked to the scratchpad in the text. Thanks!

After reading Kevin’s list, I saw Hugh’s cartoon about rising to the top. Thinking about Hugh’s cartoon juxtaposed with all of the murmuring about A-list bloggers makes me snicker.

Addendum 4/6: the burden of being an A-lister who wants to stop blogging
