The Librarians’ Index to the Internet New This Week includes two sources about radio frequency identification (RFID): RFID Journal, which claims to be ” …the only independent media company devoted solely to radio frequency identification and its many business applications,” and the National Information Standards Organization’s (NISO) RFID for Library Applications Working Group, which, as the name implies, is dealing with the use and application of RFID in libraries. Some libraries are exploring the use of RFID tags in their materials.
