Citizen Journalism with Dan Gillmor at Blog Group
The best thing about tonight’s meeting was walking in the room and seeing a friend I’m not sure I should name here. She was waiting for me just to tell me her exciting news. Congrats!
One of the first things she’s doing with her newly found spare time is reading Lemony Snicket. = )
The second best thing, of course, is that Dan Gillmor’s here and we’re talking about citizen journalism. Courtney is here from Wicked Local Plymouth, a really cool site run by a local newspaper chain, that deals with citizen journalism. Lisa Williams, who runs H20town, thinks it’s amazing. (Courtney and I know the same news librarian.)
We’re going around the room talking about our own citizen journalism projects.
We aren’t doing live audio this week, but a few people are recording the meeting, so theoretically, audio will be available later.
