My Computer has Stage Fright Again.
I believe we’ve talked before about how my machine always gets a little testy when I’m about to do a presentation. Today, the power brick isn’t working right. The thin cable going from the brick to the machine has to be in the absolute perfect position in order for my machine to get any power. Now I’m especially glad I just replaced the battery (though it needs to be charged right now), but I feel frustrated because this adapter is the second to go bad–I guess that’s one power cord per year I’ve had the machine. It’s a shame the two didn’t malfunction in a way that I could splice them together to make one that works. ha ha ha Wasn’t I just saying something to someone the other day about the irony of a computer company making a machine to last for a few years, but not designing the peripherals and accessories to last as long?
Addendum 6/15: Wow. I went to check the Mac site for a price on the power cord and learned I’m not the only unsatisfied customer.
