"Books Open All Doors"
I finished the mystery Don’t Look Back last night. Near the end, one of the detectives needs to get through a locked door. While searching his wallet for an appropriate card to use to force the lock, he pulls out his library card. It says:
"Books open all doors."
You’ll never guess what happens next.
(I enjoyed the book. It’s another one my favorite reader advisory librarian suggested to me. I should caution you that it is very, very dark, involves the murder of a teenager and a toddler, and includes the kidnapping of a young girl.)
Er, Don’t worry: I’m sure no actual library cards were harmed during the writing of the book.
