I learned yesterday there’s a travel scholarship for Wikimania and its deadline is today (Wednesday, June 28). Please apply.

I’m really sorry for the late posting. I know some of you who wanted to apply will probably see this way too late.

Please spread the word if you can.

Also, the organizers plan to raise registration fees after July 9th. Please register soon to take advantage of the current rates.

If you miss the July 9 deadline and/or don’t get a travel scholarship but would like financial help, don’t forget that volunteers might be eligible for a discount. You don’t have to live near Boston to volunteer. Many tasks can be done from the comfort of your computer.

PS–I’m even now registered for the conference.

PPS–Saturday, August 5, is going to have a lot of sessions relevant to librarians and similar information professionals. We did that for those of you librarians and information professionals on tight budgets who want to try to attend at least part of the conference.
