Wikimania: Brewster Kahle’s Plenary

Brewster Kahle, known for the Internet Archive, is giving a really fabulous plenary session about some of his projects, like his efforts to spread inexpensively printed books around the globe using a bookmobile. (I thought I had written about his bookmobile before, but I can’t find the post(s).) Joho the Blog has a bit about the project from about three years ago.

I haven’t seen Brewster Kahle talk before, which is almost surprising when I think about all the conferences and stuff I’ve been to and all of the tech work.

Yesterday, I forgot to bring my camera. Today, I remembered it only to discover the battery is dead and I don’t have time to go buy a new one. Irony.
