Will Blog Lawsuits Change Libel Law?
In an interesting post showing how news sources, uh, borrow from each other, our friend Bob Stepno highlights a case of a woman suing another woman for Internet-based statements she believes are defaming. Sources speculate that these kinds of lawsuits are going to have an impact on libel law–laws many news outlets pay attention to, but average citizens spouting off online usually don’t because they don’t necessarily apply to them.
