Lists of Businesses that Blog

The other day, I was thinking about the content on the scratchpad and realized I haven’t written about blogs in the business world in a while. When I noticed these links on the ResourceShelf today, I couldn’t resist posting them here.

The Fortune 500 Business Blogging Wiki hopes to provide a directory to Fortune 500 companies with “active public blogs by company employees about the company and/or its products.” They even provide a list of the Fortune 500 companies to make it easy for people to add listings to their site. Eventually, the creators plan to include the stock prices of the companies to see if blogging might possibly be somehow connected to that. Chris Anderson, editor-in-chief of Wired magazine and a person behind these lists, has a decent theory about why the two might be connected, explains more about the project, and gives more links to business blog sites.

The Global 1,000 Business Blogging seeks to create a similar list with international companies.
