Internet Librarian: Price and Cohen: Keeping One Click Ahead
Do I really need to introduce Gary Price and Steven Cohen to you? They’re giving a team presentation now about keeping up-to-date. I’m not going to be able to keep up with the session, let alone keeping up in general. It’s a very good thing that Gary has already put his presentation online and so has Steven. Since their presentations are online, I’m not going to log here everything they say.
Gary went first. He has mentioned Website-Watcher, which is the second time at this conference I’ve heard about this tool. It’s desktop software that monitors Web sites. There’s also TrackEngine.
Gary thinks we need to have a conference to discuss the naming of Web tools. I don’t even think he knows anything about Squdoctpppr or whatever it’s called.
Steven is talking now. He shared some tips about doing truncation searches, searching the news, and stuff like that.
Some of you might get a kick out of the Museum of Modern Betas.
