Internet Librarian: The Second Life Library 2.0: Going to Where the Users Are
Second Life is a virtual world that’s become very popular with some of my friends and the folks at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society. Some folks behind the library in Second Life are giving a talk in a few minutes. I think I might go to that, even though Second Life doesn’t interest me too much right now. From what I understand, that room has no wifi connection, so you might have to go without me blogging live for a bit.
Addenda: So, um, I didn’t make it to this session. I sat in the hall for a while to recharge my and my laptop’s batteries, then I met someone I needed to talk to in the hall and missed the session.
10/24: A friend pointed me to Reuters in Second Life. Perhaps this topic was the feature of The New York Times article I glanced at last week, but it’s more likely it was the one about money and Second Life.
