Now, in honor of my penpal, it’s only fitting that I write about spam today. I initially didn’t connect writing about spam today with him, but, well, I put that on the, uh, menu after Kim sent me some links yesterday and the date just happens to line up right.

If you’re like me, the volume of spam in your e-mail has increased dramatically in the past few weeks. Slashdot has a bit about it with a pointer to The Register’s piece about bots taking over the spamming, making it more difficult for filters to keep them out.
