Time Management, which really means managing ourselves

So, yeah, so a lot of us collide with the end of the year like it’s a brick wall of all the things we meant to do this year and find ourselves pushing into the next year. So we ponder time management this time of year. I crossed some major things off my list of “things to do before I die*” in the late summer and fall, but I am still pushing lots of things into the next year. If we manage our time better, we can get it all done, right?

Right?

Rajesh Setty offers a different take on time management–managing ourselves instead of time. He summarizes from a book he’s writing. My favorites:

"
2. Strengthening your personal brand

3. Building long-term relationships

5. Making a difference to the world

This world is what we make of it. Everyone has an unspoken responsibility to make a positive difference in this world. Without worrying about what your neighbor is doing, do something good.

7. Spending time with friends and family

How many of us will make the time to read the entire book? Well, we should at least read the 500 word summary, then.

Hugh of gapingvoid points to Rajesh.

*Not that I plan to die soon, but, well, that kind of thing can be a bit unpredictable at times. In which case, can someone please tell my Mother I love her dearly and the same to the rest of my family and friends? Oh, yes, of course I love you, dear blog reader, too.
