Mass Library Conf Deadline Extended

Just a reminder for people about the Massachusetts Library Association Annual Conference May 2-4, 2007
Although the advanced registration deadline for MLA’s Annual Conference, May 2 - 4, 2007 at the Sturbridge Host Hotel & Conference Center has passed, YOU CAN STILL GET ADVANCE REGISTRATION RATES FOR ONE MORE WEEK! MLA will continue to accept registrations online, paid by credit card, for the Advanced Registration rate through Sunday evening, April 22. We all know how busy you are and how difficult it is to make deadlines, so we’re extending the online registration deadline another week.
Visit the MLA Conference website at http:/www.masslib.org/conference/2007Conference/index.htm and click on the Regsiter Today button. Then choose register online and using your credit card, register for the conference. You will receive advanced registration rates and will be all set for the conference.
If you miss this final April 22 deadline, you will have to register on site when you get to the Conference. That’s okay, but do leave a little time because there might be a small wait while your registration is processed and your badge is printed. So don’t arrive at the Conference Center just in time for your program if you haven’t registered yet. Save a few minutes for the registration process as well.
Or bypass all that waiting and register online this week! You’ll save money AND time!
And if you haven’t already heard about all the great things happening at Conference this year, you just haven’t been listening! One addition has already been scheduled. Stephen Abram, Vice President of Innovation for SirsiDynix, will be doing a second keynote address following Callie Crossley on Wednesday morning. We will be moving Stephen’s program on Technoschism: Roeganizing and Restructuring Libraries for the Real Future to the morning (10:45 a.m. following Callie Crossley’s address) and at 3:00 p.m. Abram will interview a group of teenagers to help learn the way they view their world as Millennials. So don’t miss Wednesday’s terrific programs (in addition to Abram and Crossley, we’ve got Nancy Pearl, Jessamyn West, Evelyn Murphy, Linda Braun, WaldenMedia’s Randy Testa, and a whole host of authors).
