David Weinberger’s Book Release Party, 4/30, 6 p, 335 Pound Hall

The Berkman Center is hosting a book release party for David Weinberger’s Everything is Miscellaneous (oooh, shiny!) on Monday, April 30. At 6 p, David will talk about the book in 335 Pound Hall on the Harvard Law School campus. At 7 p, there will be a reception at the Berkman Center at 23 Everett Street, Cambridge.

Thursday (4/26) at 7 pm, he’ll be the guest on Radio Open Source. You might remember the host Christopher Lydon and his amazing radio voice from the former radio show The Connection. Open Source broadcasts over the Web and on some radio stations. Had we nothing scheduled at blog group on Thursday, I’d suggest that we listen in. (We’re having some folks from Povo stop by.) Hooray for podcasts!

I’ve heard David give several presentations about this book. I am looking forward to reading it myself. Henry Holt, the publisher, was kind enough to send me a complimentary copy. It arrived today–addressed to Jay Baumgartner. (Maybe it really belongs to the guy in my high school homeroom. The address is at least correct.) I wonder if I can get it signed …. The book deals a lot with the organization of information and other nifty topics. I recommend attending Monday’s events.

Did I mention that the book is shiny?

And, yes, it has an index.

By the way, if you need a laugh about success rates and statistics and don’t mind some … natural bedroom humor, check out David’s post Dan Bricklin’s 97% rule.
