2 SLA Events: Boston SLA Kickoff (9/19) & Gary Price (9/20)
Next week brings two fun Special Libraries Association events.
On Wednesday, September 19, the Boston Chapter has its annual fall kickoff. This year’s venue: the newly renovated MIT Museum. 6-10 p. $25 for SLA members. Registrations much appreciated, but walking in at the door is fine, too. I really look forward to seeing Arthur Ganson’s work, er, I mean, my librarian colleagues again.
On Thursday, September 20, Gary Price is giving another one of his fabulous talks broadcast over the Internet through SLA’s Click U Live. Boston Chapter affiliates have been invited to participate at a particular location not publicized on the Web (as far as I can tell). Perhaps a group near you is doing the same. If not, SLA is only charging $15 for the event, which is probably $15 well-spent. (If you’re in the Boston Chapter and you didn’t see the e-mail, but would like to attend, drop me a line at jkbaumga at some major Internet e-mail service and I’ll try to respond to you in a timely fashion.)
