“Blogging is dead! Long live blogging!”

Garrett pointed me to a follow-up to a gapingvoid post about why some of the top bloggers are blogging less. Some people took Hugh’s initial post to be a statement about the death of blogging, which wasn’t his intention. Times change. People change. People blog less. What he keeps observing is “Blogging isn’t for everybody. Web 2.0 is for everybody”—the idea that there’s a good tool out there for everyone. Blogging isn’t something magical that will work for or suit everyone. But with the myriad of Web 2.0 tools, there’s probably something pleasing, functional, and appropriate to many people.

Thanks, Garrett!
