Blogging about What the Clergy Wear

A few weeks ago, the radio show Weekend America aired an interview with PeaceBang, a woman who shares fashion tips with the clergy via a weblog. A minister herself, she blogged anonymously at first, but has gradually opened up about her online identity. Some of the discussion reminded me of some common perceptions about librarians and what is and is not sensible fashion for the profession. PeaceBang’s use of the medium gives an excellent example of how to reach out to others, do some professional networking via the Internet, and build a community.
