Digital Commonwealth Annual Meeting June 18 Worcester
It’s time to register for the Digital Commonwealth Annual Meeting on Wednesday, June 18th from 1:00 – 4:00 p. m. at the Worcester Public Library. Liz Bishoff, recently named Director of Digital and Preservation Services at BRC (Bibliographical Center for Research), will give the Keynote Address: Digitization: Pitfalls and Potential. Liz was the Executive Director of the Colorado Digitization Program and Vice President of OCLC’s Digital Collection and Preservation Services. Her years of experience and perspective on building statewide digital projects such as the Digital Commonwealth, will make for an extremely interesting and stimulating afternoon. Bring your questions!
At the meeting we will share with you what we have achieved over the past year and outline the next steps that we will tackle in the coming year. This will also be an opportunity for you to meet other DigiComm members and gain ideas about how to move your individual digital projects to the next stage.
There is no fee for attending the Annual Meeting; however, space is limited and members will receive priority in registering. Non-members interested in learning more about the Digital Commonwealth are invited to attend and will be registered on a space-available, first-come first-served basis.
