On Writers Publishing Books Annually
A cover story in today’s Boston Globe is about the publishing game encouraging writers to produce one book at year. It includes interviews with authors as well as people in the publishing industry.
One of the schedule bits the article fails to cover is that many writers don’t necessarily have a lot of time between finishing one book and working on another because of book tours and other obligations and responsibilities. Some of the writers who have spoken to the book group I’m in have indicated there are many distractions once a book is published that might keep them from hopping right into the next book.
