Good Press for Berkman
USAToday has an awesome profile of the Berkman Center for Internet & Society and their work, including a history of their activities and importance to the Internet. Perhaps you saw the news that Harvard University elevated Berkman to be a university-wide entity instead of being a part of Harvard Law School.
I am an affiliate of the center and have often thought about the value it brings to my life. I’m lucky that I’m able to participate in their activities. In many ways, it’s a like a modern salon where people come together to discuss technology. It’s not a stretch for me to say my present job is a direct result of a connection I made through Berkman and things I’ve learned while playing there.
