The Associated Press carries an article showing how librarians are challenging the traditional librarian stereotype.
As Jessamyn points out, she’s included in the article. I wonder if blogging the Democratic National Convention counts as breaking the stereotype.
Some Wisconsin librarians had the idea of posing for a calendar as a farewell present to a retiring colleague. The cost of the project made them rethink their plan. They decided to sell calendars to the public as a way to raise funds for their libraries.

LISNews reports on the latest development in the discrimination case librarian Desiree Goodwin brought against Harvard University. A court decided Harvard did not discriminate against her. The university is now asking Goodwin to reimburse some of their legal expenses.
