Talk by Jeffrey Toobin translating for normal people what McCain was saying in code to “the base” and Roe v Wade (John McCain wins – Roe is out).
Roe v Wade – this is [the] one case that Governor Palin also does not like.
Ropper v. Simmons 543 U.S. 551 (2005) – executing minors is “cruel and unusual punishment” prohibited by the Eighth Amendment.
And Biden and Palin on Roe v Wade. At least both Biden and Palin agree there is right to privacy in the constitution (although I think only one understands how that right relates to Roe v Wade, and it is not Palin).
Of course if you want real straight talk on pro-life, here is Mike….
Mike Huckabee on overturning Roe v Wade, as a first step. He will not be president, but at least he still explicitly states what he believes — even if you disagree with it. Makes McCain and Palin look like compromisers with their should be decided by the states viewpoint.
Who would McCain NOT no
McCain sayin he would not have nominated Ginsburg. Breyer, Souter and Stevens that said he voted to confirm Ginsburg. Breyer and Souter (he was not a senator when Justice Stevens was nominated, but he surely would have supported him as well). That said there is a difference between nominating and confirming.
Alito, Roberts he gives thumbs up. Thomas and Scalia ???
If Mike Huckabee would have been an ideal Republican VP choice… (I would still support Barack Obama, but I like Huckabee a lot… except for his lack of “faith” in evolution…). You sure would not be afraid of him talking with the press or being in a debate.
David Letterman on John McCain not showing up because he said he had to go to DC, although he really went and did an interview with Katie Couric. Letterman was not really happy about being lied too and got part of the Katie Couric interview feed onto his show…. and a little Keith Olbermann, who showed up as a replacement guest.
And here is Katie Couric interviewing Sarah Palin the day before….
ok… a bit late but I had to wait until I could post videos again (and I will not repeat the video issue again :)
And a news report…
… and here is NRA Lifetime member, VP candidate and Alaska Governor Palin on Gun Ownership while talking with “Charlie”. No stalls or stuttering when answering these questions… gun rights is something she has thought about and has a strong opinion about.
And some just plain gun shootin Palin
Ok I saw these a while ago… some law school comedy/parody of parody (who would have thought AliG would be dated material…).
