About

A graduate of Smith College in Computer Science and Theatre, Liana Leahy worked as a software and database developer while singing and dancing professionally in New York, Off-Broadway and National Tour.

Since moving to Boston, her work at the Berkman Center at Harvard Law School introduced her to ruby on rails and includes founding the Berkman Gender and Technology Committee, organizing a Ruby on Rails Workshop for Women as well as gathering tech geeks for a newbie friendly, monthly Open Source Code Crunch promoting mixed gender collaboration.

Now at DisruptorBeam, a social game publisher, she attempts to continue being an active member of the Boston Ruby Group community while promoting monthly workshops, exploring agile methodologies, supporting open source software and championing social networking… all while singing and dancing for her two preschool babes, Lillian and Griffin.
