About
A graduate of Smith College in Computer Science and Theatre, Liana Leahy has worked in application development, maintenance and project management as well as Off-Broadway and National Tour.
Liana came to the Berkman Center at Harvard Law School with experience in a variety of software development tools, object oriented methodologies, relational databases and a high belt. She drank the Ruby on Rails kool-aide in late 2006 and has been happily coding ror web applications ever since.
Her endeavors at Berkman include founding the Berkman Gender and Technology Committee, organizing a Ruby on Rails Workshop for Women as well as gathering tech geeks for a newbie friendly, monthly Open Source Code Crunch promoting mixed gender collaboration.
She continues to explore agile methodologies, open source software and social networking while caring for her two babes under two, Lillian and Griffin.
