Senior Software Engineer - RBM Technologies, Cambridge MA

Summary:  RBM helps some of the world’s largest retailers lower costs and increase revenue by transforming the way they manage in-store merchandising and marketing. The company’s unique Web-based system cuts the cost of marketing presentations and drives revenue with market specific campaign planning and improved store level execution.

Primary contributions include project management and software development for iPOG, a web solution to easily implement planogram designs and communicate compliance to headquarters. Also, recently ported the SKUter module from one code base to another. Successfully launched for one of the largest telecommunications retailers in the world, SKUter(TM) enables retailers to automate their merchandising plans with the unique specifications of each individual store.

Senior Software Engineer – Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University, Cambridge MA

Summary:  Berkman is a research center at Harvard University focusing on the study of cyberspace and key policy issues.  Founded by professors Jonathan Zittrain and Charlie Nesson, it is an interdisciplinary center sponsoring conferences, visiting lecturers, and residential and non-residential fellows.

Primary contributions include project management and software development for StopBadware, an anti-malware effort now operating as a standalone non-profit organization with financial support from Google, PayPal, and Mozilla.  Founded the Gender and Technology committee which hosted an attitude-free, newbie-safe and mama- friendly Ruby on Rails workshop to encourage women to join the ruby on rails community.  Organized the monthly Open Source Code Crunch promoting a welcoming, collaborative, mixed gendered development environment.

Summary: Taylor Rafferty is a leading investor relations advisory company with extensive experience across a full range of global IR services.

Primary responsibilities included development and maintenance of their proprietary contact management application.  Modules from the desktop application were migrated to the main website and made available to key clients using ASP and Javascript.

Summary:  Sybase is a leader in developing and expanding innovative database technology.  They acquired Powersoft, the makers of PowerBuilder, a developer tool to rapidly create client/server, distributed, and web applications.

Primary responsibilities included systems analysis and customer support for PowerBuilder Enterprise application products and tools.  Also led the UNIX and Mac OS customer support/quality assurance teams.
