Okay, we’re newbies in Blog World, grateful for Dave Winer’s and Doc Searls‘ introductions, and eager to please. I am just getting used to the opinionated energy out there, all those Roman Candles. It’s the same power of liberated expression that has driven our best work in radio, but the electronic feel of it is entirely different. I am dazzled by the speed-of-light linking to every particle of information in the cosmos. But wouldn’t it be nice to know what bloggers sound like? Don’t you miss the resonance of that fabulous instrument that Studs Terkel calls “vox humana”?
Please check the sound of our radio series “The Whole Wide World.”
Episode 6, on a public radio station near you, is an effort to get the long view from novelists of this polarization of “the West against the Rest.”
And write me a note if you want to be included in Episode 7, our call-in show reassessing Globalization. It will issue from WGBH in Boston on Sunday April 27 at 6 p.m. EDT. That’s a general blogger-friendly invitation.

I can’t seem to link directly to your blog post, though; the URL associated with the post isn’t an archive link. Erk!
