Professor Richard Danner — Senior Associate Dean for Information Services and Archibald C. and Frances Fulk Rufty Research Professor Of Law at Duke Law School — has been at the forefront of the open access to legal scholarship movement and has also recently written about the role of academic law librarians in supporting faculty scholarship. In this talk he discusses the “multiplicity” of legal sources at the end of the 19th century, giving an intellectual history related to legal information and law librarianship of leading thinkers from the 19th century to the present day.
