The mormon dig was very enlightening. I just recently had two young mormon girls come to my door. I definitely took the opportunity to share the real Jesus of the bible with them. They are in my prayers. I can only hope and pray that Christians can be so united to engage with such mission to preach the true gospel. Send us Lord!! Send me!

Thanks for the helpful Driscoll post. It helps to point out that there are numerous potential errors and absences in various Gospel presentations/teaching. Outright error could include for example wrong teaching about the nature of Christ's atonement or about the nature of faith and belief. Incomplete presentation of the Gospel is also problematic and potentially dangerous as well. In Osteen's case from what I have seen there seem to be at the very least the error of absence of aspects of the Gospel and at worst erroneous teaching on the nature of salvation and goals of salvation. I'm still open though to being wrong about this all. If anyone finds a full and Biblically accurate presentation of the Gospel by Osteen please do let me know. Even a basic faithful exposition of the Bible seems to be hard to find.

Michael, I read your letter this A.M. and watched the Osteen video. I have several friends who are Osteen fans and would also disagree. One of them is on the staff at Lakewood.

I found this post helpful at the Resurgance (Mars Hill, Mark Driscoll site) http://theresurgence.com/Gospel_and_Method_Part_2

Any thoughts?

Thanks - and as always/and family are in our prayers.

Thanks my brother for your amazing and courageous message to all of us at DG Conference. I came from Uganda and attended the conference.I'm pastoring a college based church in Kampala. Your message was very timely and touched my heart. It was good of you to say clearly without shame that the church in America should send the best not left overs or rejects. I have had bad experience with missionaries in Uganda and the church in Uganda is settling so much for the prosperity gospel. We need some real rescue package from godly Bible teachers otherwise the church in Africa will continue to be a mile wide but an inch deep. I would love to meet you some day God willing. Keep the good work.

Ps. Micah.

Hi Micheal and Pearl,
My husband and I are living in Kanagawa Prefecture for the next year. We have been here about 5 months now for his job. I am not working and have been praying about getting involved in some type of missions work. I have not been able to find anything around here and was wondering if you know of anyone here or of something that I could do! I would even be willing to travel to you all for a short term assignment if God called. I do not speak any Japanense- major limitation, but I am willing to do anything.

Thanks for your work!
Meg
