Good morning, readers!

It has been brought to my attention that Harvard now has access to the some of the philosophy texts in Oxford Scholarship Online (OSO).  This means that not only do we have access to reference works in philosophy, but also to the full text of currently published, copyrighted books published by Oxford University Press.

When I first checked the site yesterday, I noted that our access includes “the full text of titles published to OSO from the May, 2006 to September, 2008 updates, inclusive.” However, after browsing through the list of available books, we seem to have access to earlier works as well, at least for the time being.

The best way to access OSO is to go the E-Research @ Harvard Libraries Page, http://e-research.lib.harvard.edu.  Type in “Oxford Scholarship Online” in the search box and click on “Go.”  You’ll retrieve a list of the various OSO collections.  Scroll down to the “Oxford Scholarship Online: Philosophy” link, and click on that.  You’ll be taken the Philosophy collection home page, where you can search or browse.

This e-resource has been heavily requested, so it’s nice to know that we now have access to it.
